So it had been awhile since our last post....well at least we have done a ton in the last month so I thought I would get you all caught up! I will post all the pics at the end!
Todd finished his grad school program earlier in December! whoot whott!! :-) And he also interviewed for the only school counselor position open in the area which happened to be in Howard County and he was offered the job!! Praise God! He starts on monday, so we had some time to relax and some enjoy each other as a family.
Joel had his first cold this December right before Christmas. It started out as a little cough and drippy nose. So we thought it was nothing but a cold and he would get over it soon enough. The day before Christmas Eve he started to wheeze along with everything else, still he had no fever. We were running errand that day so we decided that we would stop by the dr. office to see if there was anything else we could give him/advice if they had time. Well it turned out that the dr. waned to see us and long story short we left with a nebulizer and some meds. that open up the airways kinds like for asthma. Basically she said that he would get over the cold, but his airways were irritated and if we didn't treat that then the next time he got a cold it would be worse for him and could even develop into asthma later on. He felt much better in the breathing almost immediately.
Thanks to our good friends Katie and Pj we were able to go to the Redskins vs. Eagles game! It was AWESOME! cold but awesome!!
We had our Christmas with Joel! He was mostly interested in the paper then teh presents, but he got some nice toys and books that he loves to play with now!! It is so fun celebrating Christmas with a little one. We started the day with our own small Christmas and then we headed out to my parents for breakfast and after that Todd's fam for the mid day lunch! We had a great time and on top of all that Joel started to crawl on Christmas Day, how exciting!!
The day after Christmas we got up really early (4:15am) to head to the airport to go to Houston, TX! To visit my brother Nat, Shannon and Graham. My parents and Mitch were also there. We had such a great time, but it was too short! Graham and Joel were so cute together too and Joel was able to prefect his new crawling abilities by chasing Graham and playing with his toys!
It is now almost the end of January and we are just taking it slow and enjoying some much needed down time before Todd's job starts.
Here are some pics for you to enjoy, (they are in backwards order)!
