The kidlets

Recently it was warm out and sunny and we decided to go for a walk around the block! Since I do not yet have a double stroller and Joel needed some good exercise we strolled and Ella rolled. That is until we made it 3/4 of the way around Joel was reaching his arms up asking to be up. So we made a single stroller into a double stroller! I think Joel was quite comfy too!

Since it was so beautiful out and everyone was is a good mood, why not take the opportunity to snap a few photos of my two adorable children.

I just could not resist getting some of these too, my little 7 week old!

Fun at the Cabin

It has always been a tradition to spend Thanksgiving weekend up at the cabin. We didn't think we were going to go this year, but then on the spur of the moment we decided to go up for friday night. It was a short trip, but relaxing too...as it always is!

My parents just got a puppy, Briggs who is a newfoundland and was born Oct 11th, just four days after Ella. He is a cutie and is going to be HUGE!

Joel is DRIVING?!

Joel driving Pop-Pop's VW bug....who let him do that?? They drove up and down the street and you could hear the horn going off randomly because Joel was pushing it!! Pop-Pop actually let him steer the car too...while it was driving....I wouldn't want to be in the car with a 1 1/2 year old driving...lol But it makes cute pictures!

Todd's Birthday!!

Todd's 32nd birthday was on Nov 18th! Joel and I made him a yellow cake with whipped cream frosting.!! I have never made whipped cream frosting before and was a little worried about how it would turn out, but it was delicious! We had steak and mashed potatoes for dinner and Todd was able to relax and enjoy his evening! Here is Joel helping with the cake.

This little Lady

This little sleeping beauty had her 1 month check up on monday. She weighs 10lbs 1 oz and is 22inchs long!! She has grown 1.5inches in 1 month and gained just under 2lbs, she is in the 89th percentile for height/weight. (as the doctor says way to lactate mom! haha) She sleeps on average 5-6 hours at night between feedings and last week she had two 8hour nights! What a sweet little girl Ella Grace is.

anniversary and update

Todd and I had our 3rd anniversary yesterday! Wow 3 years seems so long, yet so short and so much has happened in those 3 short years. For our anniversary, since we have to be pretty tight with our wallet, I decided to make Todd an edible arrangement! It didn't turn out as nice as I thought it would. The chocolate for the dipped fruit wasn't as liquidy as I would have liked, but it still tasted good and Todd liked it! :-) Hopefully this weekend we will be able to use one of our gift cards and go out to eat!

Here is Ella in a sweater and hat made by my Aunt Marie and a blanket made by her as well. The lighting in the picture washed out the colors, the sweater and hat are a pale green and yellow and the blanket is white with pink, blue and yellow. They are so beautiful and now Ella will have a blanket to carry around with her just like her older brother!

Joel has been adjusting to life, having a little sister. It was great in the beginning, now he is not quite sure why it was so great to begin with. He still gets worried about her when she cries and will give her kisses and hugs, which are more like smashes and squishes! He does not like it when mommy has to feed Ella he will try to sit on my lap (which kind of works), he will make huge messes of all of his toys, throwing them everywhere. If he is really mad he will just scream letting me know that he is not happy with what I am doing at the moment, which is not giving him undivided attention. Every chance we get we try to give Joel hugs and kisses and look him in the eye to let him know he is important and still loved, even though he has a little sister now! :-) The adjustment time is hard on toddlers, but we love him still! :-) Here are some faces Joel has been giving us of late:

Ella is 4 weeks old today. I have to remember that she is still little even though I think she is big and has been here forever, which is a good thing! She is doing great, sleeping and eating and not crying much, so content, and she has slept through the night the last two nights about 8 hours, we will see if she can keep it up! Way to go little lady!

Ella Grace

Ella Grace Geary has arrived!! Born October 15, 2009 at 5:30pm weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 20.5inches! (almost the same weight and length as Joel) We here at the Geary house have been adjusting to having an infant again, along with a Toddler, oh what joys!!! Joel has been doing great with Ella he likes to give her kisses and wants to pick her up and give her her passie when she is crying! So cute. He has been a tad more emotional, but nothing over the top, and we are giving him lots of extra hugs, kisses and playtime. He really is a great big brother.

Ella is a great baby too, she sleep about 4 to 5 hour stretches at night and is pretty happy during the day. She loves being held and cuddled and talked to (the sling is a great in

vention for when you have to chase a toddler and hold a baby at the same time!)

Unfortunately when we delivered Ella the hospital had a new rule (which had started that week) not allowing children under the age of 12 into the labor/delivery and mother baby unit. So we were not able to introduce Joel to Ella until we came home. When we came home he was very cerious about her when we asked him where the baby was he pointed to my tummy and then we showed him Ella and I think he understood that there was no baby in my tummy anymore!
