Cute Bear Baby

In the mornings I try to go running...hopefully at least 3 times a week!  Since it has started to get colder I haven't gone because I was afraid it would be too cold for Joel in the jogging stroller.  This week I decided to venture out and bundle Joel all nice in warm in his camo bear outfit!  He looked too cute, I had to share!!!  Here he is: 

Redskins Little Man

On sunday Joel was decked out in his Redskins gear to watch the game!!  He had a fun time watching the game with Daddy and Mommy...but had to go to bed before the game ended!  We were excitign for another Skins Victory!!  Gooooo Redskins!

Fun Time with Family

On Friday of last week we went down to see Todd's family.  Joel's Uncle Shawn, Aunt Abby and Cousin Leah were up visiting for the weekend.  We had a great time!  Joel especially liked having all the dogs around and having papaw tickle him!  Here is a picture of Joel with his cousin Leah!

Our Deck

Our deck has been in need of repair since we moved in.  Todd and I had thought that it might not be able to make it much longer.  Todd did some research and found a deck cleaner that would work to clean off the grime that has been sitting on it for quite awhile.  So we set out to scrub and scrub our deck and then we proceed to stain it.  It looks amazing and it seems like all it needed was a good scrub and a new stain.  I think it will last us for quite awhile!!  Here are some before and after pics of our deck.

It took about a week to clean it and then a week to stain it.  Well more like 3 days for about 5 hours each day I would guess.  Most of the work was done while Joel was taking his naps during the day!

A New Start!

Hi! 

Since a number of family and friends have a blog, and it is a nice way to keep in touch with everyone, I thought we would make one too!  Although I am never good at staying up-to-date I will try my hardest with this.  

For my birthday Todd surprised me by taking me away for a day and staying at the Hyatt in Baltimore!  (we had a free stay there that we were given last year because Todd had written a letter complaining about the service we had)  Well unknown to either of us they upgraded us to a suite, but not just any suite!  This was the room on the corner of the hotel on the 12th floor, a floor that had private access (you had to put in your room key in the elevator to take you to that floor) and a club room that had a bunch of little snacks you could enjoy whenever you would like!  It was amazing and I was so surprised and so was Todd.  Later that evening we went to dinner and met up with some friends...I thought that it was just a coincidence at first, then I realized that it was set up by my loving husband and my good friend Julie!  It was a great time.

Joel had a good time with Grammy and Pop-Pop and Uncle Mitch and Aunt Bridge with his first sleep over at the gramps house!

They treated us so nice at the hotel, we even had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries brought to us free by our good friends Brian and Steve!
