Corolla August 2009

Joel LOVED the beach!! He could play out on the beach all day and never get bored! We we decided to let Joel have just his afternoon naps at the beach. He is still in and out of his morning nap. Somedays he desperately needs one and other days he does just great. We had a sport pack'n play and a little baby pool for Joel to cool off in. The pack 'n play is an octagon shape and has a cover on top so it is kind of like a tent. Great for shade for him. We put the little pool inside the pack 'n play and Joel had is own play area, and we didn't have to worry about having to keep an eye every second on the little runner. His day at the beach consisted of putting sand in buckets and water into buckets and pouring it out. He was a happy entertained toddler. We also brought him into the ocean with us a couple of times and he loved the water. At the beginning of the week the water was very cold, he wasn't a fan of that, but towards the end the water warmed up a bit and Joel loved going in with us. He would even run to the waves and try to get in himself!! Such an adventurous little guy we have. I can't wait to see what he will be like next year when he is a little older. :-) Anyway here are some pictures of our beach trip.

Hardly ever is he allowed to walk around with his blankie and passie, they are only for nap time and bedtime, but he was so cute I couldn't resist!

Joel's first taste of chocolate from the brownie mix, he loved it!!  We don't give him sweets really at all so it was a special treat, even though it was just the mix.

Cabin Trip!!

Last week we took a short vacation to the cabin for a few days!  We had a very nice and relaxing time there!  I always want to stay longer when I am there!  We took Joel down to the river for a swim and he loved it!!  When we would go outside he would walk down the driveway and then turn towards the direction of the river!  It was so fun seeing him laugh and have a blast in the river!  Here are some other pictures from the cabin!

Chelsea vs. A.C. Milan

About a week ago Todd and I were given a rare treat of a night out!!  His parents trecked up here all the way from Springfield,  VA during rush hour traffic for us so we could have a night out without our little bam bam!!  We are so thankful that they were willing to do that for us!  We went to the Chelsea vs. A.C. Milan football (soccer) match at Ravens Stadium in Baltimore!  We had a blast going to the game and seeing a great soccer match.  Todd has a friend from work who lives in Federal Hill, which is about a mile from the stadium, and he gave us his parking spot for the night so we didn't have to pay for parking, which was sweet!!

A Day at the Park

A few weeks ago when we had some nice mild summer weather we went to the park for some fun!!  Joel loved everything at the park as he usually does and explored everywhere!!  Here are some pics from our evening at the park.  Joel loved the tunnel, he thought it was so neat!

 A little update on baby girl Geary!  I am 30 weeks on Wednesday of this week.  Only 10 more weeks to go.  Wow it is going by fast and I feel like we still have a lot to do!  I am excited to get to meet our sweet little girl this fall!  :-)
